Joliet Remembers
The 1930s

 

In September, 1930, Joliet Municipal Airport, was dedicated.   The airport is now known as Joliet Regional Airport., and, according to the Website http://www.airnav.com/airport/KJOT, is home to 122 aircraft, and averaged 68 takeoffs,  landings, or over flights per day in 2005.
