The 1930s

 

Adolf Hitler was undoubtedly one of worst men ever to lead a country. World War II, started by Hitler in 1939 caused the deaths of millions of people.   Hitler became dictator of Germany on March 23, 1933.  As the headlines and images taken from the Joliet Herald-News show, Hitler's rise to power was well publicized.
