A world at war, love and marriage, a new Roman Catholic Diocese, viewing television for the first time.  The 19 40s were interesting years in Joliet.  On these pages the Joliet Public Library has images of stories and ads from the Joliet Herald News that illustrate what life was like in Joliet during the 40s.
